I'm excited to finally have a decent buffet, Chinese/Japanese/American style, in st. Pete. It's huge and really nicely rehabbed inside. The food was decent. The sushi was tasty. Some was not the best. The rice was kinda mushy. (I'm sure a fresher batch would have been better) But many selections. A ton of different style chicken options. Frog legs. Fish. Seafood. A hibachi grill. Salad bar. Desert bar, and ice cream. I had a tsingtao . And lots of options for my kids. Sweet and sour chicken, French fries, corn on the cob, and some garlic bread. Overall we were satisfied. We will definitely be back to try out more options.

My trip to the Teppanyaki Grill was okay. I have had better, but it wasn't that bad. The Crab Rangoons were great. I think they were the best food there. They had lots of rows of food. However, it was very hit or miss. I will give it another try though. The self serve ice cream was really good

No. Just no. I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but with 15 buffet stations and around 200 options I assumed I would be able to find a few things on the menu that I enjoyed. I'm saddened to say the best thing I had to eat at that meal was the self scoop ice cream. Yes, you heard that right - scoop it yourself ice cream. The hands of potentially dozens of people a day dipping into the same bucker of ice cream that you're scooping your dessert from. As you would expect from an inexpensive all-you-can-eat buffet many of the breaded items are heavily breaded. The sauces are overly sweet. There were a handful of items that were edible but not anything I would go out of my way for. The sushi selections were incredibly limited and heavy on rice (again, as you would expect). Not bad, but not good either. Even at the prices, this place is no bargain.

We moved from NJ to here. Have been trying to find a good Chinese Buffet. This one claims it is the Northeast kind of buffet. SO we decided to give it a try. #1: even the place was not packed when we arrived, but it did took them sometime to get us seated. #2: Love the varieties. The clams, shrimps, veggies... A little bit on the salty side. But I guess that is personal preference. #3: Qualities are not consistent. Had one fried fish, the fish must have been frozen and it is not season at all. Tasteless. My son had Mac & Cheese, it is cold (I did not try), he could barely swallow; the fruits, mango, grapes, are definitely fresh (let's no go into the details). #4: My husband loves the hibachi. He tries in every Chinese buffet place. He cannot give anything above C here either. At least I think they should add Shrimp as a choice here. Like the environment, like the varieties. If it can provide above average overall qualify, we may go back. But for now, hubby says:keep me out here. Sad. They put down such an investment for the space and materials, etc. Why not just pay a little attention on the overall quality. Hope they do better.

Although the exterior of this old Social Security Admin building looks the same, the interior has been completely redone. Quite impressive is the huge chandelier and the fountain surrounded by plants near the entrance. You first enter a foyer lined with little vending machines, too many actually. Then you enter a second door that faces the reception area. A lot of tables on either side of the huge buffet area, I wonder if they are ever filled to capacity. Padded seats along the wall. The sushi bar is in the rear by the restrooms. So much food to choose from, it takes time to decide what to pick. Did not try any salad or dessert. The fried fish, plantains, and fried rice are quite good, and kept at the right temperature. Crab rangoon, pepper chicken, meat pie, chicken kabob, potatoes all quite tasty. Garlic toast too hard, not good. Oriental art on the walls, American music for a while, then it seemed to change to another language since I could not understand the singing. Amazingly efficient service, as plates picked up quickly and tables wiped immediately as people leave. Constant tending of the food containers. My glass of water was not refilled. You pay server and she brings your change back. She took her tip off the table even before I left, that's a new one. Plenty of parking. One TV facing one side of dining hall, another facing reception area, don't know why.

My wife and I enjoyed this place. It was new and clean. Not the best chinese buffet we have been to but not the worse by a long shot. The service was ok. It was easy to get in and out for people with walkers and wheelchairs.

I love this place....been back 5 times already. I like the craw-fish, clams and all the seafood they offer there. There are so many food to choose from. Even after 5 times being there, I don't think I had tried all the food yet. This place is very clean and friendly. The only drawback is the staffs don't speak English. Other than that, everything else is great.

Buffet had really great seafood like crawfish and crabs for dinner, I also really liked the salt and pepper crispy chicken. The sushi was good, when it's available. One time I went there were only boring rolls left, a different time there were a few nigiri and some interesting rolls, pretty good. Loved the ice cream there like cookies 'n cream, mint chip, etc.
